The folloing two tables demonstrate the medals won by Australia in each Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games that were attended. The figures in red demonstrate the medals won after the establishement of the Australian Institute of Sport. These figures clearly demonstrate that Australia's swimming performance at the international level of competition has risen greatly after the establishment and use of the Institute. A number of calculations were made and these can evidently validate that the creation of the Australian Institute of sport has greatly benefited and majorly increased the success of the Australian swimmers.
